OMG to die for! Gotta try this. Chicken breast, packet of ranch dip (dry), bottle of hot sauce and a crock pot on low for 6-7 hours. Shred the chicken and then put 2 tbs of butter in the crock pot and let sit on low for 1 hour. I ate mine with a wheat roll and some chips. So so so so so so good. GOTTA try it.
So its been a while since I have last posted. Honestly not much has been going on. I had an extremely busy end of semester and busy busy busy couple of months at work. For now I am off to bed. I will attempt to update this blog this toward the end of the week. Love to all

So much going on!!
I am overflowing with happiness right now. After a VERY long, trying week finally I feel ok.
So not much crafting went on this week.
However I did make a delicious meal-a meal that with some altering will be ok (i hope) and one not so great. I will share this later-as I am short on time but just wanted to share my excitement (which probably isnt so exciting for you all)

So I have been dying to change my duvet cover and get all matchy matchy with my bed. I honestly have spent month looking on line for duvets and colors and what i like and what i dont like. Being on a budget and looking at some of these duvets makes me sick in how expensive they can be. Regardless on Saturday I FINALLY set out on my search in store. And to my surprise I FOUND it at Target. And I LOVE it.
So like I said this is probably not exciting to you but i am just sooo in love with my new bed I had to share. More changes to the bedroom coming soon. I also FINALLY went and bought the parts I need to make my headboard.Which i will leave as a surprise until it is done. But I will say that everything I need for it I found at the Habitat for Humanity Re-store. If you have one around you check it out. I love the restore.
On to my other exciting news. For those of you who know me-know that I love photography. I even went out and bought a nice camara with a nice flash about a year and a half ago. I am FINALLY going to dig a little deeper in the this love of mine and take a 4 hour class with a professional photographer here in Tempe. Thanks to livingsocial.com I was able to purchase this class for super cheap. I can't wait until next Saturday and meet Mr. Farrell & learn all I can learn in 4 hours.
On that note I think I may just go and make some goodies. We shall see what happens!

Weekend Re-wind so far
Yesterday I scored BIG at GoodWill. I LOVE the 50% Satrudays!! Cant wait to wear my new outfits!!
Then I spent the rest of the day and afternoon into early evening with a good friend of mine I met 8 years ago and her 1 year old Evan. She was visiting from Michigan and staying with her friend Tracy in Cave Creek. Here are just a couple of pictures from our visit.
Then came home and did homework--yes on a saturday night-ugh i hate papers due on saturday nights.
Today has been relaxing? Laundry-dishes-trash-grocery list-but best of all painting. A few weeks ago i bought an old frame and cork board (not as one piece) here is what it looked like before and what it looks like now and what i used to get it it this way

Super easy and super cheap! Its hanging in my kitchen now. I most likely post positive affirmations or ideas for baking.
With that said im off to the grocery store and Big Lots (my second favorite store)

What a long week. Terrible ending to a Friday work week and im spent.
However, last night I was able to take some picture of a good friend of mine who is 9 months pregnant with her FOURTH child. She should be having Rio before Monday!! For some reason my photo editing tool wont wake up so here are theraw pictures. Enjoy.

WHEW what a weekend!!
Hope every one had a great weekend!! I know I did!!
Lets see:
Saturday I slept in thank goodness. Shopped at Michaels and came home and got down to business....and by business i mean painting. A friend of mine's daughter is turning 1 I happened to have an extra kids rocking chair hanging around and so I went to town!! Girls are sooo much easier to do things for then boys wow!
Mind you out here in the lovely Arizona desert-it was 103 degrees on Saturday. UGH. and my painting had to be done out side!! And here is what I have so far-still needs little details but all in all I think it looks pretty dang cute if I do say so myself!
The start of the chair-I had to Kilz it first as I had previously attempted something on this chair
The Princess Crown-Im not an artist but this was hand drawn no stencils
AND the semi-finished product!
So that was project #1 {actually it was the only real project I actually worked on}
Project 2 is an old frame I bought at my FAVORITE store-----GOODWILL! Yes I LOVE goodwill! Its kind of ugly but with a lil paint & some additions it will be just what I want. Pictures of the before & after to come soon.
Project 3: Something I learned on my new favorite site!
Terrible picture but you get the idea! Instead of having my bags {this is only a small portion of bags I have} laying around on the floor or having them get mis-shaped whatever you hang them from shower curtain hooks in the closet! So SIMPLE sostupid but yet such a great idea. I loved it and had to do it. AND the best part is I only paid a DOLLAR for it!
WHOA major change. But i am LOVING the change!!
Then I went to a farm and got some pics!
Ended my evening with not feeling too great. So off to take some medicine I went and snuggle up in my airconditioned apartment with my big comfy blanket!
My Monday has been a Monday! However, I just tried my hand at some home made white chocolate chip brownies?!?! we shall see.
Off to take an exam and hit the hay!

My Sunday was such a weird day! Went to church then headed over to ULTA to take advantage of the breast cancer awareness deal!! Breast Cancer is something that hits a lil too close to home for me and my family! I love seeing people come out and supporting the cause! I also needed a major change with this hair of mine. But in the mean time of waiting for my turn. I had a great lunch with a friend at my utmost favorite place Souper Salad! YAY! Also got a lil shopping done at the dollar store and big lots.

New to this!!!
Well hello all!
Welcome to my blog. We shall see how I do with keeping this up! haha......
So I am sitting here wondering why am I doing this? Is it because I am bored? nope. Is it because I want the world to know me? not exactly. I don't really know other than my best friend Morgan introducing me to another website that has sparked my creativity and I thought it would be a grand idea to share my {somewhat} creativity with others too? Yes I think that is it!
First and foremost-I am a terrible speller and I really suck at punctuation & grammer in general so bare with me. And if you know me know me you can throw in my tone for most of this as well.
Second-sometimes I think I'm pretty funny. You probably don't BUT if we were face to face you would think I was funny!
Third- Depending on my mood or what is on my mind you may see post that are not directly related to crafting, cooking or baking. Bear with me!
Fourth-WELCOME! Hope you like what you see and share it with others.
Who am I?
I am Colleen. I am a fish living in the desert who is dying in this heat in the middle of 'fall'. My favorite season is Fall, like the real fall, the fall of the leaves changing, cooler temps, sweatshirts and jeans, apple pickin with the family, hayrides in Gorham, football season, racking the leaves for kids to jump into them. NOT the fall of 102 temps and you can't bare to be outside, not the fall where there is nothing but brown and well brown outside, no leaves to rake unless you live in a rich neighborhood, not the fall when you are still wearing tank tops & shorts at 10pm. However, I love my winters in the desert. NO SNOW!!! Anways I am a proud Aunt to JohnnyMac. I am in school full time and work full time. I love anything criminal and some day hope to work for a criminal attorney or even dream of being a criminal defense attorney. There are few things I can honestly say i hate....but i HATE tv....so don't bother asking if I watch a show or have seen a movie because more likely than not the answer will be no.
I am growing tired I have been painting almost all day and have so much anxiety from my new found best friend that is a website with so many ideas flowing through my head its almost hard to sleep. But on that note as I sat out in the HEAT all day {in the shade of course-skin cancer is no good} I am FINALLY exhausted and gonna go soak my brushes and get ready to crawl into my nice airconditioned apartment and cuddle with my comforter!
